CrossCode has been in regular development since the initial release of the demo (version 0.1.0) on December 1st, 2014. Pre-release versions were made available to those who obtained the game in early access. The game fully released as version 1.0.0 on September 20th, 2018, and continues to be regularly updated.

Official changelog notes for each version are shown in the following sections. Additional information is written in italics.

1.4.2: 3rd Anniversary Gift

1.0.2: Achievements & NPCs

This version was released on 27.11.2018.

Fixes:

• Fixed bug where names of unvisited rooms have been visible in the map menu.
• Fixed annoying collision issues in the bamboo maze challenge.
• Fixed bugs where projectiles were stuck in mid-air.
• Fixed issues where you could pull enemies with certain attacks that were suppose to be immovable.
• Analyzable symbols that are supposed to stick at the edge of screen are now more easily visible.
• HOTFIX(1): Untracked an unfinished enemy so you can get 100% of all enemies again.
• HOTFIX(2): Added missing Chinese translation!

This version was released on 22.10.2018.

• Removed problematic FORCE_COMBAT in the Bergen goat caves on repeated visits.
• HOTFIX(1): Small AR Box messages work again, in particular for the chest detector.

• + Graphics libraries for standalone version. Might increases performance if you had low fps previously
• ~ Changed damage formula for better scaling
• ~ Position when loading save file is now the entry point of the map
• ~ Shizuka Special now 110% more awesome
• Old saves should work (sorry if we broke them), but items might need to be equipped again.
